Worth nothing. Means something.
Noney holds your name, your groups, and a ledger of favours. That is genuinely all it needs, so that is genuinely all it keeps. Here is the whole of it.

The short version
- Noney is a novelty social credit. There is no money in it and no payment processing anywhere in the app, so we never see a card or a bank detail.
- We collect your account details, the groups and transfers you take part in, and enough about your device to keep you signed in.
- We do not sell your data, run ads, or track you across other companies' apps and websites.
- You can delete your account yourself, from inside the app, whenever you like. It takes effect immediately.
Who we are
Noney is operated by East Codes, INC. This policy covers the Noney iOS app and the Noney website, which share one account and one database.
Noney is a novelty social credit with no monetary value. It cannot be exchanged, redeemed, or withdrawn, and there is no payment processing anywhere in the product. We never collect card numbers, bank details, or any other financial information, because nothing in Noney costs anything.
What we collect
Everything below is either typed in by you or generated by your use of the app. We do not buy data about you from anyone.

What we never collect
No payment or financial information. No location from your device. No contacts, photos, camera, microphone, or health data. No advertising identifiers. The iOS app asks for none of those permissions, and adding one would mean rewriting this page first.
Analytics
We use one analytics service to understand which parts of Noney people actually use. It receives a record of screens opened and actions completed, a device identifier, and standard technical details like app version and operating system. From your IP address it works out an approximate city and country.
It never receives the contents of your ledger. Notes, names, handles, and email addresses all stay with us.
This is product analytics, not advertising. We do not use it to follow you around other companies' apps and websites, we do not share it with data brokers or ad networks, and Noney does not track you in the sense Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt asks about.
The website also needs a session cookie and a security token cookie to keep you signed in. Those are the only cookies it sets: there are no advertising cookies and no third-party trackers.
What your group sees
Noney is a social app, so some of what you do is visible by design. Anyone in a group with you can see your name, your handle, and every transfer you take part in inside that group, including the note attached to it. Groups also rank and celebrate what people give, so your activity feeds that too.
Treat a note as something the group will read, because they will.
Your choices
- Delete your account — from Settings, yourself, at any time. It takes effect immediately, and you do not have to ask us.
- Change your details — your name, handle, and email are all editable in Settings.
- Sign out a device — your signed-in devices are listed in the app and can be revoked one at a time.
- Turn off notifications — in iOS Settings, any time.
- Leave a group — from the group screen.
- Get a copy of your data, or stop the emails — email us and we will sort it out.
If you are in the EEA, the UK, or California you have additional rights over your personal information: access, correction, deletion, portability, and the right not to have it sold, which is straightforward here because we do not sell it. Email us and we will honour the request, and we will not treat you differently for making one.
How long we keep it
We keep your account information for as long as your account exists, and no longer. Transfers stay in the ledger while the group exists, because they are the record the group relies on. Invitations nobody accepts are deleted automatically after a few days.
When you delete your account we erase the information that identifies you — your name, handle, email address, and everything you sign in with. What remains is an anonymous record that old transfers point at, so the other members' balances still add up: in their ledger you become a former member, with no way back to you.
Children
Noney is not intended for children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has an account, email us and we will delete it.
Security
Passwords are stored hashed, never in readable form, and nobody here can read yours. Traffic between the apps and our servers is encrypted, and the iOS app refuses to talk to anything that is not. You can add a passkey or a second factor in Settings, and we would encourage it. No system is perfect and we will not pretend otherwise — but we will never ask you for your password over email, and neither will anyone legitimate.
Changes and contact
If we change this policy we will update the effective date at the top, and if a change materially affects what we collect or who we share it with, we will tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect.
